The current Forest Fire Hazard Rating for the Village of South River and the Township of Machar is MODERATE. Campfires are permitted and fire permits are being issued. Fireworks are permitted should be handled with extreme care

Remember a Permit is required for all open air burning year round with the exception of camp fires up to, but not exceeding 0.3 cubic meters in size.
